Wilmar International, a Singapore-based agribusiness major, supplied the biodiesel used during the trial, according to a LinkedIn post by Pinnacle Marine.

The vessel, President 100, is operated by Prestige Ocean, and was powered entirely by B100 throughout the trial period. The 100% biodiesel was made from renewable feedstock.

The trial began in July 2025. Pinnacle Marine said the successful completion of the trial serves as proof of concept that carbon-neutral biofuels are not a distant ambition but a viable and immediate solution for the maritime energy transition

The trial was supported by Weichai Singapore, which supplied the biodiesel engine, the Maritime Energy & Sustainable Development Centre of Excellence, which conducted research and data analysis, and China Classification Society Singapore, which provided regulatory and safety compliance oversight.

Under current plans, all new harbour craft operating in Singapore waters will be required to be fully electric, B100-capable, or compatible with net-zero fuels by 2030.
