Red Sea: US ships dodge another Houthi attack
Houthi insurgents fired one ballistic anti-ship missile (ASBM) yesterday towards a US-flagged and owned cargo vessel, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported.

Iran-backed Houthi militants likely launched the missile at the cargo ship MV Yorktown from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen while it was being escorted by US Navy’s guided missile destroyers USS Laboon (DDG 58) and USS Mason (DDG 87), CENTCOM said.
The US warships successfully took down the inbound missile, it said. “There were no injuries or damage reported,” it added.
The Yemen-based group has not claimed the attack yet.
ASBM are drones that the Houthis have been using to attack commercial vessels in the Red Sea. Any further escalation in these attacks can put pressure on the global oil supply and push Brent's prices higher, according to oil market analysts.
