The vessel is designed to run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels. It will sail from Turku to Cadiz, Spain before making its European debut in July 2026.

The delivery forms part of Royal Caribbean’s long-term agreement with Meyer Turku, which secures the group's access to shipbuilding capacity through 2036. The agreement includes the construction of seven LNG-dual fuel vessels.

Legend of the Seas is Royal Caribbean’s fourth LNG-capable cruise ship under the agreement. The company is also preparing to introduce its fifth LNG dual-fuel vessel, Hero of the Seas, which is scheduled to enter service following its delivery in 2027. The sixth and seventh LNG-capable vessels are due for delivery in 2029 and 2030, respectively.
