Singapore bio-bunker and LNG sales decline in July
Singapore's bio-blended bunker sales decreased by 24% in July, according to preliminary figures from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between June and July:
- Bio-VLSFO sales down from 114,000 mt to 80,000 mt
- Bio-HSFO sales down from 39,000 mt to 35,000 mt
- Bio-LSMGO sales down from 2,100 mt to 1,700 mt
- B100 sales up from 1,000 mt to 2,600 mt
- LNG sales down from 55,000 mt to 42,000 mt
Singapore sold 118,000 mt of bio-blended bunkers in July, down sharply from 155,000 mt in June but more than double the 49,000 mt recorded in July last year. Average daily sales stood at 3,800 mt/day, compared with 5,100 mt/day in June.
Of the total, about 80,000 mt was VLSFO blended with biofuel—typically at a 24% blend level in Singapore—while 35,000 mt was HSFO with a bio component. Bio-blended LSMGO made up the remaining 1,700 mt.
From January to July, total biofuel bunker sales reached 883,000 mt, a little over 2.5 times the 337,000 mt sold during the same period last year.
Meanwhile, LNG bunker sales declined in July after four consecutive months of growth, totalling 42,000 mt, with daily volumes averaging 1,300 mt/day, down from 1,800 mt/day in June.
B100 (100% biofuel) appeared in the statistics for the fourth straight month, with sales rising to 2,600 mt in July from 1,000 mt in June.
No methanol or ammonia bunker sales have been reported so far this year.
