Monthly Singapore alternative bunker sales since January 2022

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between August and September:

  • Bio-VLSFO sales down from 53,000 mt to 43,000 mt
  • LNG sales down from 15,500 mt to 7,700 mt

All of the 43,000 mt of bio-blended bunkers sold in September were VLSFO blended with a bio component – typically 24% in Singapore. Total biofuel bunker sales across the first nine months of this year stood at 328,000 mt – more than double the amount that Singapore sold through all of last year.

LNG sales plunged by 51% in September. Around 260 mt/day of LNG was sold in September, down from around 500 mt/day in August. LNG sales fell for the second consecutive month.

No methanol sales were recorded in September.
