Singapore bio-bunker and LNG sales dip in February
Singapore's bio-blended bunker sales decreased by 1% in February, according to preliminary figures from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between January and February:
- Bio-VLSFO sales down from 92,000 mt to 85,000 mt
- Bio-HSFO sales up from 16,000 mt to 22,000 mt
- B100 sales up from nil to 3,800 mt
- LNG sales down from 33,000 mt to 30,000 mt
Singapore’s bio-blended bunker sales totalled 107,000 mt in February, slightly down from 108,000 mt in January but a significant increase from the 16,000 mt sold in February last year. The port supplied an average of 3,800 mt/day of bio-bunkers in February, up from 3,500 mt/day in January.
Of the total biofuel sales, 85,000 mt consisted of VLSFO blended with a bio component, which in Singapore typically contains 24% bio content, while 22,000 mt was HSFO blended with a bio component. Total biofuel bunker sales for the first two months of the year reached 215,000 mt, approximately four times higher than the 61,000 mt sold during the same period last year.
B100 (100% biofuel) appeared in the sales data for the first time, with 3,800 mt sold. Singapore-based physical bunker supplier Fratelli Cosulich Bunkers delivered the B100 stem to Danish shipping company Norden’s vessel.
LNG bunker sales fell 8% in February, hitting their lowest level since November last year.
No methanol bunker sales have been recorded since May last year.
