Singapore bio-bunker sales slump in October, while LNG sales surge
Singapore sold approximately 2,000 mt/day of bio-bunkers in October, down from around 3,800 mt/day recorded in September, according to preliminary figures from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales between September and October:
- Bio-VLSFO sales down from 72,000 mt to 50,000 mt
- Bio-HSFO sales down from 43,000 mt to 11,000 mt
- B100 sales down from 4,500 mt to 1,800 mt
- LNG sales up from 48,000 mt to 61,000 mt
Singapore’s bio-blended bunker sales fell sharply in October, dropping 47% to their lowest level since July last year. This was the fourth consecutive month of decline.
Total sales reached 61,000 mt, down from 115,000 mt in September. About 50,000 mt of this was VLSFO blended with biofuel—usually at a 24% blend ratio in Singapore—while 11,000 mt was HSFO with a bio component. No bio-blended LSMGO was sold for the second straight month, and no bio-blended ULSFO has been recorded since April.
From January to October, total biofuel bunker sales reached 1.20 million mt, roughly double the 661,000 mt sold in the same period last year.
After a dip in September, LNG sales surged 25% in October. Average daily LNG sales increased by about 400 mt to 2,000 mt. Total LNG sales for January–October reached nearly 462,000 mt, up from 388,000 mt a year earlier.
Sales of B100 (100% biofuel) were recorded for the seventh consecutive month, totaling around 1,800 mt in October, down from 4,500 mt in September. No methanol bunker sales have been reported so far this year.
