April 15, 2026

Singapore’s bio-blended bunker sales rose slightly by 1% in March, according to preliminary data from the port authority.

Changes in Singapore alternative fuel sales from February to March:

  • Bio-VLSFO sales up from 77,000 mt to 78,000 mt
  • Bio-LSMGO sales up from nil to 400 mt
  • Bio-HSFO sales nearly unchanged at 14,000 mt
  • B100 sales down from 1,300 mt to nil
  • LNG sales down from 59,000 mt to 49,000 mt

Singapore’s bio-blended bunker sales rose by 1% in March to 92,000 mt.

Of this total, about 78,000 mt comprised VLSFO blended with a bio component - typically around 24% in Singapore - while roughly 14,000 mt was HSFO blended with biofuel. Bio-LSMGO sales were recorded for the first time this year, with approximately 400 mt sold.

For the January-March period, total biofuel bunker sales reached 244,000 mt, down from 361,000 mt recorded during the same period last year.

Meanwhile, LNG sales declined by 17% in March. Average daily LNG sales dropped by more than 500 mt to 1,600 mt. Despite this, total LNG sales for the first three months of the year reached nearly 151,000 mt, up from 102,000 mt a year earlier.

Sales of B100 (100% biofuel) and methanol were not reported in March, while ammonia sales have yet to be recorded this year.
