Southern California faces potential disruptions from Hurricane Hilary
Hurricane Hilary, which has reached Category 4 status today, poses a threat to ports and vessels on major shipping lanes by the US West Coast.

The hurricane is projected to strengthen and hit the Baja California Peninsula and the southwestern parts of the US over the weekend. Bunker suppliers in San Diego, Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Francisco have been warned of possible delays.
The hurricane is moving with wind gusts of around 126 knots. It poses a risk of flooding from heavy rainfall, strong winds and dangerous storm surges and waves, according to the US National Hurricane Center (NHC).
