Methanol-ready indicates that the ship cannot run on methanol at delivery but can be retrofitted for methanol propulsion later, so it will initially operate on conventional marine fuels.

The vessel, M/T Tern Dal, also features wind-assisted propulsion and shore-power connections.

It will operate under a long-term charter with Finland’s Neste and, after its maiden voyage from Southeast Asia to Europe, will enter Neste’s Northern European logistics network.

Terntank has not provided details on the delivery timeline for the remaining two vessels.
