The 15,000-dwt vessel will be able to run on methanol and conventional marine fuels.

Designed by Norway-based maritime transportation firm Kongsberg, the vessel will also be equipped with wind sails. It is expected to be delivered by July 2027.

The latest order takes Terntank’s order tally to five with China Merchants Jinling Shipyard. In March, it placed an order for a dual-fuel methanol tanker with the shipyard. The shipping firm placed orders for three dual-fuel methanol tankers last year. The first vessel in the series is expected to be delivered in March 2025.
