TOTE Maritime retrofits second vessel to dual-fuel LNG

Shipping company TOTE Maritime has converted the engine on one of its Ro-Ro vessels to dual-fuel LNG

The conversion was carried out by Canada-based Seaspan Victoria Shipyards over a period of 10 weeks. The vessel, North Star, can run on both LNG and conventional marine fuels and is now deployed on an Alaska route.

TOTE Maritime’s cargo vessel, Midnight Sun, underwent the same conversion process at Seaspan Victoria Shipyards earlier this year.
