Kamsarmax bulk carriers are specifically designed to dock at the Port of Kamsar in Guinea, a key port on the global bauxite trade route. These vessels typically have capacities of around 80,000-82,000 dwt.

This newbuild can run on both methanol and conventional marine fuels. It is scheduled to begin its maiden voyage in January next year.

Tsuneishi has not revealed the vessel's owner or the route it is expected to operate on.

It is the company's first methanol-capable Kamsarmax, after launching a dual-fuel methanol Ultramax last November.
