This follows the delivery of the company’s first dual fuel LNG-fuelled RoPax ferry, Nils Holgersson, in March this year.
The new dual-fuel LNG-fuelled ferry will be pushed into service in the first quarter of 2023. Before then it will commence a 49-day journey from the Chinese Nanjing shipyard to Travemünde, a borough of Lübeck, Germany.
The ferry will be deployed in the southern Baltic Sea region. TT Line connects the ports of Travemünde and Rostock in Germany, the port of Świnoujście in Poland and the Lithuanian port of Klaipėda with Trelleborg in Sweden.
Notably, in June, UK-headquartered LNG firm Avenir LNG delivered its first bioLNG bunker stem in Germany's Port of Lübeck to TT-Line’s RoPax ferry Nils Holgersson.
Apart from the Port of Lübeck, the ports of Świnoujście and Klaipėda have LNG terminals and offer LNG bunkering.
