The design is aimed at the smaller container vessel segment and features a cargo capacity of 1,400 TEU, according to DNV.

The vessel design incorporates a fuel system arrangement based on concepts already used in LNG-capable ships, an approach intended to minimise technical challenges while ensuring dependable operational performance.

The global fleet of LPG-capable vessels currently numbers 168 ships, with another 146 projected to enter service by 2030. However, the use of LPG as a marine fuel remains heavily concentrated in the gas carrier sector. Of the existing LPG-capable fleet, 158 vessels are LPG carriers, while the remaining 10 are designed to transport both LPG and ammonia, DNV data shows.
