The IMO Type 2 vessel, Lucia Cosulich, was launched at Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard in China earlier this week.
Lucia Cosulich is the second of four sister methanol-ready vessels ordered by the marine fuels supplier, it said.
The vessel is equipped with phenolic epoxy cargo tank coating and “systems engineered for future fuel integration,” the company said.
“Just two months after the launch of the first vessel in this new series, Lucia Cosulich took to the water on 2 May 2026,” Fratelli Cosulich added.
An IMO Type 2 vessel is built to carry moderately hazardous chemicals in accordance with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations.
