The 15,000 TEU newbuild is fitted with a dual-fuel engine that can operate on both methanol and conventional marine fuels. It is scheduled to serve a route between Qingdao in China and the Red Sea.

CMA CGM has not disclosed additional details about the vessel, including the shipyard where it was built.

The delivery marks another step in the company's expansion of its alternative-fuel fleet. Earlier this year, CMA CGM took delivery of the methanol-capable CMA CGM Berenice in June, CMA CGM Esmeralda and CMA CGM Silver in April, and the dual-fuel CMA CGM Carmen and CMA CGM Osmium in March.
